Please notice me if the vocab or grammer is wrong.

The film is about a housewife, Shashi, who is snubbed by her own daughter Sapna due to the incapability to converse in English.

It is actually understandable due to the fact that upper class Indian peopele speak English a lot,

those who speaks native languages are in lower class.

However, Shashi must fly to the U.S. alone to give her oldest sister Manu a hand to organize the wedding for her niece Meera.

Under this circumstance, Shashi feels totally helpless.

((She is weeping her tears.))

Thankfully, a passenger on the airplane calms her down and gives her inspirational advice.

((He is interpreting the English  movie played on the airplane into Indian for Shashi.))

Moreover, the other niece Radha also accompanies her for traveling in New York City for a few days.

((BTW, the background music is awesome!! ))

What pushes Shashi to learn English is the traumatic experience about ordering food.

((the bad-tempered waitress has to illustrate every single word for Shashi.))

Applying for a cram school successfully, she starts to learn English secretly with other non-native speakers.

((As a matter of fact, I cannot figure out why Shashi must keep it as a secret.....Isn't it great to practice with her sister?))

After constantly endeavoring for several weeks,

Shashi now surmounts all difficulties and is able to order coffee with extremely fluent and accurate English.

((I'm so proud of her))

Then, the next problem reveals.

For surprising Shashi, her family comes to New York one week earlier.

In other words, she has to quit the class and spend time with them if she conceives herself as a competent housewife.

Sobbing and considering for one night with Radha's consolation,

Shashi makes a determination to become a traditional Indian housewife again.

((How sweet the smile is))

But, Radha and Shashi also makes a plan to take the final test by pretending to go beauty salons.

Unfortunately, accident happens.

Now Shashi must to stay at home to make a recovery in despair.

Until knowing that Radha invites her classmates to this wedding, she finally stops feeling despondent.

After several people finish blessing, Radha proposes to let Shashi say something.

At first, the suggestion is soon refused by her husband in the excuse of poor English oral proficiency.

However, Shashi still insists to have a speech for blessing the new couple with English.

Her words are soft and warm but make her husband and daughter feel regretful and shamefaced.

Holding a great and fulfilled wedding, it is the time to go back to India.

However, the family will not go back again.

They have become a family which knows the importance of respecting and supporting everyone.

==========================================================================

As a student who is struggling to learn languages like Shashi,

I genuinely feel encouraged and inspired by what she experiences and

how she overcomes all difficulties and apprehensions.

Moreover, the main actress Sridevi is supremely talented and splendid.

The naturally facial expressions and adorable behavior really make the movie stand out.

The most important thing is that Shashi does not be confused and

conceited after she becomes an English speaker.

On the airplane, she still decides to read the newspaper which is written in India rather than in English.

BTW, Sridevi is extremely outstanding and beautiful.
